What Is SelenoExcell?

We Are So Glad You Asked …

  • SelenoExcell is a dietary supplement made from selenium. In 1996, the Journal of American Medical Association reported that a Nutritional Prevention of Cancer Trial had, for the first time, shown that a nutritional agent could be effective in reducing cancer risk:

48-63% reduction in colon, lung and prostate cancer risk,

50% overall reduction in mortality for all cancers.

The agent in the JAMA study was SelenoExcell.

 How is this Possible?

Free radicals are lone atoms that behave erratically when in the presence of oxygen. They form as a result of poor diets, iStock_000058767518_Largestress, unhealthy lifestyles and normal aging. Free radicals create chaos and incite a violent chain reaction to our DNA and cell membranes. The constant assault eventually kills the cells, which may contribute to chronic disease, cancer and early aging.

The body’s natural defense system against free radicals is an enzyme called glutathione peroxidase (GPX), which acts as a mediator in the midst of the chaos. It finds partner electrons for destructive lone free radicals and restores balance and function to cells.

But without the type of selenium in SelenoExcell, the enzyme GPX can’t function correctly. The only way our bodies can get selenium is through diet and supplementation.

Why SelenoExcell Instead of Other Selenium?

pinwheel-edited-nwgaramondThere is a form of selenium, only in SelenoExcell, which is superior to others because it replicates the natural food form. In fact, human studies using a common synthetic form called selenomethionine (SeMet) were cut short because of health concerns. SelenoExcell is a specialized form of high selenium yeast that is a clinically proven superior form to SeMet.

Our product was the first and only to meet batch-to-batch standardization criteria set forth by the Division of Cancer Prevention at the National Cancer Institute. Through the clinical trials that followed, SelenoExcell was compared to other forms of selenium and shown that form makes a dramatic difference in health outcomes and its effectiveness.

As a result of human “Gold Standard” trials, FDA approved a qualified health claim for selenium:

“Selenium may produce anticarcinogenic effects in the body. Some scientific evidence suggests that consumption of selenium may produce anticarcinogenic effects in the body. However, FDA has determined that this evidence is limited and not conclusive.”

Other selenium products, of all forms, can use this statement but they also use our clinical trials to support their products.

This is why we recommend going right to the source, SelenoExcell.
