Geo Espinosa, N.D., L.Ac, earned his naturopathic doctorate and master in acupuncture in 2003 from the University of Bridgeport, School of Naturopathic Medicine. He is noted for his expertise in prostate disorders, male sexual health, and interstitial cystitis. Additionally he treats patients suffering from chronic pain and athletes with acupuncture and sports nutrition.
In this TED talk, Dr. Espinosa shares his experience as a naturopath and men’s health expert. In 2010, he founded the Integrative Urology Center at New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center, a center of excellence in research and integrative treatments for urologic conditions. He is the medical director and co-founder of XY Wellness, LLC – a no-nonsense nutraceutical company dedicated to supporting and improving the health of men. He is also the Chief Scientific Officer of Prostate.net and Prostate Research Labs, LLC. Before joining NYU, he completed a fellowship in the Center for Holistic Urology at Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr.Geo is a prolific writer who has written in numerous scientific journals, academic book chapters, Prostate.net and his popular blog DrGeo.com. He holds a position as editorial board member with the Natural Medicine Journal and is an adjunct professor in nutrition and complementary medicine at NYU Nutrition Master’s of Science program. Dr. Geo is an avid reader, sports enthusiast, cross-fitter and runner. His favorite pasttime is spending quality time with his wife and three kids. He and his family live in Riverdale, NY.
